Frequently asked questions

Is this a normal website builder?

No. It is a website operating system: AI-assisted content changes, media, localization, booking, commerce, releases, restore history, and runtime evidence are managed as one product workflow.

Can the AI write arbitrary production code?

No. Owner chat produces typed commands only. Unsupported actions are rejected instead of becoming hidden code or uncontrolled file edits.

What can an owner control from chat?

Pages, news, reviews, navigation, SEO identity, contact points, media slots, generated images, commerce catalog copy/media/video, booking configuration corrections, locale sync, variants, and selected runtime booking/order actions through audited command families.

How are risky actions handled?

Publishing, restore, price changes, archive/delete-style changes, refunds, provider secrets, and bulk imports use explicit confirmation, warnings, audit readback, and fixed owner-facing controls where needed.

How does localization work?

One source locale remains the editable truth. Derived locales can sync translated copy, localized slugs, UI labels, SEO, and RTL/LTR behavior while preserving runtime-owned identifiers.

What proves the booking module is real?

The public booking widget creates runtime appointments, calculates slots from settings, respects blocked time, and keeps appointment history outside Git-backed content restores.

What proves commerce is real?

The catalog is Git-backed, but carts, checkout attempts, paid order snapshots, payment events, entitlements, fulfillment, and refunds are runtime state. Existing paid orders are not rewritten when product copy or media changes.

Is the public site live?

Yes. The GoLivePilot site runs on the public deployment with DNS, TLS, Caddy routing, SEO metadata, booking, media, catalog, contact, and owner-review workflows managed by the platform.
